We offer one day introductory training programs at our premises in Nairobi for those wishing to learn more about improving soil fertility and crop nutrition management on their farms.
The training program includes:
- Basics of soil fertility
- Functions of nutrients in crops
- Soil fertility and crop nutrient interactions
- Interpreting your soil, leaf and water analysis results
- Achieving optimum soil nutrient balance
- Designing soil fertility, fertilizer and foliar feeding programs
- Identifying nutrient deficiencies
- Nutrient interactions in soils and crops
- Building soil biology
- Importance of organic matter and humus management
- Composting programs
- The relationship between soil fertility and crop diseases / pests
- Understanding the impact of water quality on your soil fertility
Time: 9am to 5 pm with one hour lunch break – we will provide a canteen lunch free of charge for each participant
To run the course, we require a minimum of 6 people up to a maximum of 8 people. Please email us to apply as a group or as an individual. If you are applying as an individual or as a group of less than 6 people, we will organize to join you up with other applicants at the earliest date possible.
